COER Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital celebrated ‘Sanskrit Week’ from 21st to 29th September 2026 with great enthusiasm and academic fervor. The celebration featured an insightful interactive classroom session focused on the beauty and accessibility of Sanskrit—highlighted through the recitation of “सुरस सुबोधा विश्वमनोज्ञा…” on the digital display—alongside a vibrant series of competitions including Shloka Recitation, Sanskrit Song Singing, Ashtanga Hridaya Vachana, and Calligraphy. Attended attentively by students and faculty, the event underscored the pivotal role of Sanskrit in understanding ancient Ayurvedic Samhitas and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to preserving classical medical heritage.

COER College of Ayurveda and Hospital organized an educational visit to Sanskar Ayush Medicare Private Limited on 22 August 2026 for the BAMS Batch 2023 students of the Department of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to Ayurvedic pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug processing, packaging, labelling, and quality control. During the visit, students observed the manufacturing and packaging processes of Petsafa Ayurvedic formulation, Clove Oil, and other Ayurvedic pharmaceutical products. They were also introduced to pharmaceutical analytical equipment and quality assessment parameters, including pH measurement, viscosity, ash value, soluble extractive value, and drug stability and shelf-life assessment. The visit enabled students to understand the importance of standardization, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygienic processing, and quality assurance in the production of Ayurvedic medicines. The educational tour proved to be an enriching academic experience, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial applications while enhancing students’ understanding of pharmaceutical practices and quality evaluation in Ayurveda.

On the occasion of National Nutrition Week 2026, a lecture was organised by the Department of Kaumarbhritya, presented by Dr Deepa Singh Assistant Professor, Kaumarbhritya for final year BAMS students. The session equipped future doctors with practical skills to identify nutritional deficiencies, understand food interactions, and combat community malnutrition. The event concluded with a strong call for the budding physicians to prioritize holistic health and patient-centric diet planning in their medical practice.

The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of the *Hon’ble Vice Chancellor* and *Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor, who addressed the gathering and shared their insights on the enduring relevance of Acharya Charak’s teachings in contemporary healthcare. They emphasized the importance of integrating the principles of Ayurveda, as described in the **Charak Samhita*, into modern medical practice for the promotion of holistic health and well-being. Faculty members, students, interns, and hospital staff actively participated in the event. The program featured enlightening talks highlighting Acharya Charak’s contributions to preventive medicine, clinical ethics, personalized healthcare, and the preservation of health through proper diet and lifestyle. COER Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital celebrated the *11th World Ayurveda Day* on *23rd September 2026* with great enthusiasm and a shared commitment to promoting the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda. The event, organized under the theme *“Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow,”* commenced with traditional rituals, including Puja and Hawan, followed by a series of academic, cultural, and community-oriented activities. The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of the *Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor*, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the growing global relevance of Ayurveda in achieving holistic health and sustainable well-being. In his inspiring address, he highlighted the importance of preserving the classical knowledge of Ayurveda while encouraging its integration with modern healthcare practices for the benefit of society. Faculty members, students, interns, and hospital staff actively participated in various activities, including a medical camp, cultural performances, awareness rally, poster presentations, quiz competitions, Blood donation camp and Ayurvedic food exhibitions. The event served as a platform to showcase the scientific foundation and practical applicability of Ayurveda in addressing contemporary health challenges. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and the recitation of “सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः, सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः”, reaffirming the institution’s dedication to advancing the principles of Ayurveda and fostering a healthier future for all.

COER Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital actively participated in community healthcare services during the *Kanwar Yatra* by organizing a dedicated *Medical Camp* for pilgrims from 25^th July 2026 to 11 august 2026. The camp was established with the objective of providing timely medical assistance, first aid, health consultations, and emergency care to the thousands of devotees undertaking the sacred journey. Faculty members, doctors, interns, nursing staff, and volunteers rendered their services with dedication and compassion, ensuring the well-being of the pilgrims throughout the camp. The initiative was carried out under the guidance of the *Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor*, who appreciated the efforts of the healthcare team and emphasized the importance of serving society through compassionate and accessible healthcare. They highlighted the role of medical professionals in safeguarding public health during large gatherings and encouraged students to embrace the spirit of service embodied in Ayurveda. The camp witnessed the treatment of numerous pilgrims suffering from dehydration, fatigue, musculoskeletal discomfort, minor injuries, and other health concerns. Free medicines, health advice, and preventive care guidance were also provided. The successful conduct of the medical camp reflected the institution’s commitment to social responsibility, humanitarian service, and the promotion of holistic healthcare in the community.

COER Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital celebrated Acharya Sushruta Jayanti on 15th July 2026 with great enthusiasm. The program commenced with the invocation *”ॐ नमो भगवते धन्वन्तरये”* and a floral tribute to Acharya Sushruta. The celebration was attended by all faculty members and hospital staff. On this occasion, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Sir delivered an enlightening lecture on the invaluable contributions of Acharya Sushruta, revered as the Father of Surgery, highlighting his pioneering surgical techniques, scientific approach, and the enduring relevance of the Sushruta Samhita in contemporary healthcare and Ayurvedic practice. The event concluded with the recitation of *”सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः, सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः”*, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Ayurveda.

On 1st July 2026, COER Medical College of Ayurveda & Hospital celebrated International Doctors’ Day with great enthusiasm and a deep commitment to service to mankind. Faculty members, doctors, students, and healthcare staff actively participated in community welfare activities, reflecting the compassion, dedication, and selfless service that define the medical profession. The celebration concluded with a *cake-cutting ceremony*, symbolizing unity, appreciation, and respect for the invaluable contributions of doctors towards the health and well-being of society.

The week-long celebration culminated with the observance of the 12th International Yoga Day. A mass Yoga demonstration was organized in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol. Participants performed various Yogasanas, Pranayama, and meditation practices under expert guidance.

The event was also connected through Live Streaming, enabling participants to join and witness the national celebration of International Yoga Day. The program highlighted the global importance of Yoga in achieving harmony between body, mind, and spirit.

To spread awareness regarding fitness and healthy living, a Run for Yoga event was organized within the university campus. Students, faculty members, and staff enthusiastically participated in the run carrying banners and placards promoting Yoga and wellness. The activity emphasized the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyle practices.

A special Yoga Class was conducted for faculty, and staff members. The session included warm-up exercises, Yogasanas, Pranayama, meditation, and relaxation techniques. Participants learned correct Yoga practices and their benefits in maintaining physical fitness and mental calmness.

An Ayurvedic Health Camp (Shivir) was conducted in Village Belda. Faculty members and healthcare professionals provided health consultations and preventive healthcare guidance to villagers. Information regarding Yogic practices for maintaining health and preventing lifestyle disorders was also disseminated. The camp contributed significantly to community health awareness and outreach.

A Rangoli Competition based on the theme of Yoga and holistic health was organized. It creatively depicted Yogic postures, symbols of wellness, and messages promoting healthy living through artistic designs. A community outreach program consisting of a Yoga Demonstration and Health Camp was organized. Faculty members and Yoga experts demonstrated various Yogasanas, Pranayama techniques, and relaxation practices. Participants were educated about the role of Yoga in stress management, lifestyle disorders, and overall wellness.

Simultaneously, a health camp was conducted where Ayurvedic consultations and health advice were provided to the local community. The initiative received an encouraging response from residents and promoted awareness regarding Yoga and Ayurveda.Dr. Khushboo, Dr. Varun, Dr. Vairagi, Dr. Tejwant, Dr. Jayvinder Singh, Mr. Uday Pal and Mr. Sharukh were present.

In commemoration of the 12th International Day of Yoga, COER Medical College of Ayurveda & Hospital (CMCAH), Roorkee organized a week-long celebration of World Yoga Week from 15th June 2026 to 21st June 2026. The event aimed to promote awareness regarding the importance of Yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Various academic, cultural, community outreach, and fitness-related activities were organized throughout the week to encourage students, faculty members, healthcare professionals, and the general public to adopt Yoga as a way of life.

The Yoga Week commenced with a Poster Presentation Competition. Faculty members evaluated the posters based on content, creativity, presentation, and scientific relevance. The activity provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their understanding of Yoga and health promotion.

Every tree planted today symbolizes our collective responsibility toward a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future. Protecting the environment is not merely a duty but a shared commitment to preserving natural resources and maintaining ecological balance for future generations. At CMCAH College, we believe that environmental consciousness begins with education and is strengthened through meaningful action. Through awareness initiatives, sustainable practices, and active community participation, we strive to foster a culture of environmental responsibility among our students, faculty, and staff.

COER Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Roorkee, organized a pledge ceremony on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day on 4th June 2026.The program aimed to create awareness among faculty members, and staff regarding the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and to promote a tobacco-free lifestyle.

COER Medical College ofAyurveda & Hospital (CMCAH), Roorkee successfully organized a collective Sustainability and Responsible Conduct Pledge Ceremony On June 4, 2026, at the Ahilya Bhawan Reception Area. Initiated under the direction of Principal Dr. Pratyush Kumar, the event formalized institutional adherence to the ethical and environmental mandates of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). The ceremony mandated concrete behavioral shifts across personal and professional domains for all faculty and staff.

Coer Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Roorkee (CMCAH), on 18th May 2026 as a significant step towards promoting a tobacco-free and healthier society. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive support, counseling, and evidence-based treatment to individuals who wish to quit tobacco and lead a healthier life.
Tobacco consumption remains one of the leading preventable causes of serious health conditions, including oral diseases, cardiovascular disorders, respiratory illnesses, and various forms of cancer. Recognizing the importance of early intervention and public awareness, CMCAH has established dedicated Tobacco Cessation Centers to assist patients through personalized counseling, behavioural guidance, lifestyle modification, Ayurvedic interventions, and regular follow-up care.
The centers will be managed by a multidisciplinary team of qualified healthcare professionals committed to helping individuals overcome tobacco dependence with compassion and scientific guidance. In addition to patient care, the initiative will focus on community outreach programs, awareness campaigns, educational activities, and preventive health initiatives to encourage tobacco-free living.
At CMCAH, we believe that prevention is the cornerstone of good health. Through the establishment of Tobacco Cessation Centers, the institution reaffirms its commitment to public health, community well-being, and the creation of a healthier, tobacco-free future for generations to come.

CMCAH organized an awareness lecture for the female employees of Hindustan Unilever Limited Company, BHEL On 29th April 2026. During the session, our student Ms. Akriti Goswami delivered a PPT presentation on nutritional guidance in chronic disorders such as Diabetes Mellitus (DM), Hypertension (HTN), etc., under the guidance of Dr. Khushboo, Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa.

Coer Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Roorkee (CMCAH), Department of Kaumarbhritya celebrated world immunisation week 2026 on 29th April 2026. On this occasion , a class presentation was given by Student of 2021 batch Maimuna Ansari, she shared her thoughts on how vaccines had helped humanity to fight against diseases.

Seizing this powerful celestial alignment, this Suvarnaprashana ritual is designed to foster holistic growth and resilience in children.

Coer Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Roorkee (CMCAH), organized educational field visit of the BAMS Batch 2023 was conducted on 23rd April 2026 to the Deoban Reserve Forest Range, Chakrata. A total of 27 students, accompanied by faculty members Dr. Kush Pandey, Dr. Vikas Jadon, and Dr. Pratibha Singh, participated in the trip. The visit was guided by forest officials, who provided valuable insights throughout the tour. Students explored the Deoban Hi-Tech Medicinal Plant Nursery, which houses more than 45 medicinal plant species, including rare, endangered, and threatened species such as Aconitum heterophyllum (Atis), Lilium polyphyllum (Ksheerakakoli), Polygonatum cirrhifolium (Mahameda), Picrorhiza kurroa (Kutki), etc. They also visited a high-altitude floral biodiversity park, where they observed important medicinal plants such as Taxus baccata(Thuner), Skimmia laureola (Kedarpatti), Trillium govanianum (Naagchatra), and other plants related to Astavarga Dravya, along with a cryptogarden and the local flora of the Deoban range.

COER Medical College of Ayurveda & Hospital (CMCAH), Kayachikitsa department organized a field visit on 9th April 2026 at Nirvan de-addiction and rehabilitation centre, Laksar ,Haridwar. The camp was led by Dr. Anurita Gupta Malhotra, Dr. Khushboo Bhardwaj and Dr. Harshmani Mamgain.Objectives of the visit is to provide practical exposure and enhance student understanding of clinical practices, drug de-addiction management and rehabilitation procedures. All students of Batch 2021, participated, interacted with patients and also go through the treatment protocol given for de-addiction.

COER Medical College of Ayurveda & Hospital (CMCAH) organized a Health Awareness and Free Medicine Distribution Camp on 8th April 2026 at village Mooldaspur Majra, Haridwar, benefiting over 90 patients with free consultations and Ayurvedic medicines.
The camp was led by Dr. Vimal Sharma, Dr. Sunita Yadav, Dr. Vishakha Kashyap, Dr. Tejwant Prakash with support from Mr. Ankur Kumar (Pharmacist) and Ms. Shalu Saini (Nursing Staff).
BAMS Batch 2023 students also participated actively, gaining practical exposure.

On this occasion, Rangoli competition, Poster presentation, awarness lecture about tuberculosis and Nukkad natak was organized. All faculty members and students actively participated in it.

CMCAH (COER medical college of ayurved and hospital) organised an interactive practical session on 16th March 2026, in which muscles and bones were drawn on the body surface of the students to improve their understanding of anatomy. This activity helped students connect theoretical knowledge with real human body structures and made learning more clear, practical, and engaging.
